Born in Southern California, but thankfully raised as a military brat up and down the East Coast, I currently reside in New York City.
I received my BFA from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV, just down the road from where my folks moved following my father's retirement from the Coast Guard.
During my "formative years" I had the great fortune of living on Governor's Island, which lies just south of the tip of Manhattan. The experience allowed me the protection and security of living on a military base, with the ultimate freedom of a child running amuck in the Big Apple. I embraced the juxtaposition of these two worlds then, and I've reveled in duality ever since.
Growing up as I did in a 2nd generation military family, moving from place to place, I developed a passion for observation with the desire to capture not only the quiet beauty of a solitary moment, but the frenetic nature of being "in the moment".
Pursuit of this passion has led me to where I am now, inviting you to explore these slices of time.
